Oxfordshire Youth Music Theatre presents Hot Mikado, the Olivier Award-nominated jazz and blues adaptation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic Mikado, complete with lindy hops, ukuleles and skateboards!

Nanki-Poo, the son of the Japanese Emperor, is masquerading as a musician, hoping to win the heart of the beautiful Yum-Yum. With an eclectic score of jazz, blues and big band music, mistaken identity and mishaps ensue in this lively musical comedy.

Come and see some of the county’s talented young performers as they present an unforgettable evening of toe-tapping entertainment. They are ably supported by a live band featuring instrumentalists from Oxfordshire County Music Service ensembles.
