The acclaimed, Grammy-nominated singer Stacey Kent returns to Oxford Playhouse for an evening of songs from her 5-star new album and the jazz classics that made her name.

Since breaking into the jazz scene in 2003, Stacey has built a reputation as master interpreter of jazz standards, also able to turn her hand to unique collaborations with Booker Prize winning novelist Kazuo Ishiguro.

Last seen in Oxford in 2014, this a wonderful opportunity to hear one of the greatest voices in contemporary jazz as she plays songs from her latest album, the universallyloved Tenderly.

Duration: 2 hours with interval

Deceptively simple, meticulously presented, each of the 12 tracks is a little gem. Kent’s soft, light voice is as persuasive as ever, and the playing is, of course, immaculate.
